YKK AP Finishes

Lasting Beauty for Modern Design Vision & Philosophy

Finishes are the first thing people see. They’re a key component in transforming a building from a simple structure into a work of art.

YKK AP offers a selection of high-quality architectural finishes, including anodized and paint options. Our finishes are durable, beautiful, and designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern architecture, ensuring your project makes a lasting impression.

Anodized Plus®

YKK AP’s Anodized Plus® finish offers superior protection for anodized aluminum.

While conventional anodizing uses a hot water seal that can leave pores open and lead to staining, our process replaces this with an electro-deposited organic seal. This ensures all pores are closed, protecting the finish from common construction site chemicals and harsh environments.

This finish meets the stringent AAMA 612 standard, which tests for resistance to substances like mortar, acid rain, and salt spray. Anodized Plus® is available in a matte finish and a range of colors, including white, clear, champagne, medium bronze, dark bronze, and black, all with guaranteed color consistency.

Anodized Plus®

YKK AP’s Anodized Plus® finish offers superior protection for anodized aluminum.

YKK AP offers 70% PVDF (Duranar®) two-coat, non-exotic, non-metallic paint in 10 standard colors. Countless additional paint colors are available to customize your design. Additional colors and finishes are also available. Contact your sales representative for more information.

As a PPG/CAP Certified Applicator, YKK AP provides top-quality organic paint finishes that meet the rigorous AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 standards. We manage the entire finishing process in-house, from casting our own aluminum logs—which contain a minimum of 30% recycled content—to the final paint application. This integrated approach at our ISO 14001 certified facility in Dublin, Georgia, ensures exceptional quality and integrity.
